Dear Chevalier, dear Dame of St. Stanislas,
The French Riviera and Monaco were proud that the Order of St. Stanislas has been to this magic place for its ceremonial investiture of new knights. All Knights and Ladies of the Order of St. Stanislas today are aware of the traditions of this Order and they are proud to be part of an institution that counted many outstanding personalities of the Elite Club as Chevaliers and Dames among its members.
The Investiture ceremony is the highlight of every meeting of the Order. That was also the case in Monte-Carlo. Numerous attending knights and ladies of the Order in solemn black with capes and all attending guests took their seats in the church of Sacre Coeur in Beaulieu.
With the symbolic accolade, the postulant candidates were received as new members in the Order. The Master of Ceremony, Chev. Freddy Smet, welcomed each of the Invested with hearty congratulations as new members of the Order. 9 postulants were formally invested in the Order.
The Grand Prior of the St. Stanislas Order in Germany underlined in his welcome address the importance of the Order in particular. He welcomed guests and members of the Order in Monte Carlo. He invited the members of the Order to witness to society, that "to be a member of the Order should make one pride, even greater pride must, however, lie in their own faith," he continued, "Never forget that membership in our community means to serve the Order, without anything to expect in return. Membership does not mean to use the order to satisfy its own needs or to receive decorations." Grand Prior Thaddäus Freiherr von Lison pointed out the moral obligation of humanitarian aid and recalled the successful activities of the Order in the past.
The festive afternoon with the members of the Order and the distinguished guests of the Elite Club from many European countries lent itself well to remind about the idea of our Order and the realization of its ambitions once again. The Gala Dinner with delicious meal and excellent wines in the famous ‘Cafe de Paris’ in Monte-Carlo will remain for all participants as an outstanding cultural and social event.
The musical evening announced itself with touches of classical music, entertainment music and pop music, a host of high-profile artists under the musical direction of the organist Daniel von Lison with his 3-manual keyboard instrument of which he can elicit amazing sounds.
It was a real pleasure, what concerns hearing and sight. The well-known artists, Delia Noble Grace, famous worldwide known soprano and Anna Schenk, an outstanding Pop singer vocal artist who have both offered their skills in the service of the good cause, were very motivated and firmly committed to delight the audience with their presentations.
This spectacular day will remain remembered by many, as the proven mix of spirituality, festive atmosphere and climax which constituted the inner and outer success of our Investiture.
